TOUGH CHOICE! Detroit Lions FACE MAJOR Personnel Decision On The Offensive Line + Bye Week Wish List
The Detroit Lions face a surprising roster challenge after the bye week: should they keep Juice Scruggs, Pro Football Focus’ top-rated center through five games, in the starting lineup, or hand the position back to Cade Mays, the major offseason acquisition returning from injury? The offensive line’s chemistry has sparked career-best performances from Jared Goff and a hot start for Jahmyr Gibbs, making this personnel decision both critical and complicated for Detroit’s playoff hopes.
Defensive improvements remain high on the bye week wish list, with the Lions struggling on third downs and needing to reinforce their secondary before the NFL trade deadline. Could a trade for Kamari Lassiter, Zion McCollum, or Dante Jackson finally shore up Detroit’s vulnerable pass defense? The season’s second half hinges on these pivotal questions as the Lions push to solidify their status as a top unit in the NFC.
