REUNION: Detroit Lions OC Drew Petzing FACES Old Team, RUN THE BALL + Keith Abney Time To Shine
Drew Petzing gears up for a reunion game as the Detroit Lions prepare to challenge his former team, aiming to showcase their ground-and-pound offense built around star running back Jahmyr Gibbs. Despite boasting a top-tier offensive line and explosive backfield talent, Detroit's rushing attack ranks just 20th in the NFL, raising questions about consistency and how strategic ground control could protect a struggling defense.
With the Lions seeking answers for their defensive woes, rookie Keith Abney's versatility at cornerback, safety, and nickel begins to draw attention. Will a fresh personnel mix—including Christian Izien in flexible roles—help Detroit find the right formula? As the Lions seek to break through for bigger plays and clamp down defensively, all eyes turn to whether their young talent can step up against the Arizona Cardinals.
