REUNION: Detroit Lions OC Drew Petzing Faces OLD FRIEND + Detroit HUGE DECISION At Punt Returner
Detroit Lions fans are buzzing ahead of the matchup against the Green Bay Packers, where offensive coordinator Drew Petzing reunites with his old collaborator Jonathan Gannon, now the Packers’ defensive coordinator. With the Lions boasting a top-scoring offense and Gannon’s Packers leading the NFL in forced turnovers, the battle of creative schemes and opportunistic defense promises fireworks at Ford Field.
DeAndre Carter steps up as the expected new punt returner following Tom Kennedy’s season-ending injury, bringing a history of reliability from stints with the Browns and Bears. The special teams question lingers—will Carter also handle kick returns, or does Jacob Saylors stay in the role? Plus, emerging star Amon-Ra St. Brown showed flashes in emergency duty but likely returns to his primary receiver duties. All eyes are on these lineup changes and strategic battles as the Detroit Lions aim to continue their offensive momentum against a fierce Green Bay defense.
