PAY THE MAN! Detroit Lions NEED To Pay Tight End Sam LaPorta + NFC North Power Rankings
Sam LaPorta’s breakout performance for the Detroit Lions is turning up the heat on contract extension talks, just as the tight end puts up 88 crucial yards and a key touchdown in a hard-fought matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. With the NFC North power rankings shifting—Minnesota Vikings surging to 5-0 behind Brian Flores’ dominant defense and the Green Bay Packers humiliating the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field—every edge counts as teams fight for position.
As the Lions, Bears, and Packers all sit at 3-2 heading into the bye week, questions loom about which team can truly challenge the undefeated Vikings. Will Detroit’s front office lock in LaPorta with the big-money deal he’s earned, or could Brian Branch be the top priority for a franchise tag? Fans are left to speculate: Who claims the title of second-best in the NFC North after Week 5, and how will Caleb Williams’ return shape the Bears’ chances?
