NEW RETURN MAN?! Detroit Lions ADD Potential Return Man + Brad Holmes DESERVES A Lot Of Credit
The Detroit Lions shake up their roster with veteran return specialist DeAndre Carter joining the practice squad, igniting speculation over who will secure the punt returner role after Tom Kennedy’s season-ending injury. Fans wonder if Carter, Dominic Lovett, Lucky Jackson, or even Amon-Ra St. Brown will handle return duties as competition heats up during the bye week.
Brad Holmes earns praise for his shrewd trade, sending David Montgomery to the Houston Texans for Juice Scruggs, a 2026 4th-round pick, and a 2027 7th-rounder. Montgomery’s struggles in Houston contrast with Scruggs’ impressive impact on the Lions’ top-ranked offensive line. With Cade Mays nearing return, will Scruggs keep the starting center spot when the Lions resume play?
