Did the Lions Find THE ANSWER To Their Secondary Woes? Snap Counts From Week 5 Point Towards Changes
Detroit Lions fans are buzzing after a breakout defensive showing against the Arizona Cardinals, with rookie Keith Abney potentially emerging as a game-changing X factor in the secondary. Abney, a versatile fifth-round pick out of Arizona State, saw significant snaps at both cornerback and safety—raising big questions about Detroit's evolving defensive lineup ahead of Brian Branch’s return and the struggles of Christian Izien.
Jahmyr Gibbs continues to electrify NFL stat sheets, racking up Offensive Player of the Week honors in the NFC after notching 151 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Gibbs’s record-breaking pace has him surpassing Barry Sanders for most touchdowns before age 25, making him a top contender for Offensive Player of the Year. Can the explosive Lions offense and this retooled defense keep Detroit rolling in the NFC playoff race?
